Refractometer failure

Have you ever had a RF go bad? I went to test my change water and my RF no longer registers.It's a pia also because I have two tanks in hypo right now!I've had this unit for about 2 years with no problems.It is not a name brand item and I got on that big bid site.Is it repairable or just replace with a know brand?Maybe from this site? Let me know about your experiences with one of these.Note,it has NEVER been dropped,submerged,left wet,or in high humidity.I just use it,clean it,store it in the original carry pouch AND case!

Does it have a calibration s c r e w on the top? Sometimes the calibration will drift. I set mine by putting some RO/DI water on the lense and then turning the s c r e w until it says 0. If yours does not automatically compensate for temperature, then you will need to warm the water up to 68-70 degrees first.

My RF has the ATC feature.I tried recalibrating but no go.It's the strangest thing,just stopped showing readings.Well I think it's time for a new one.Any brand recomendations?
