Refractometer question

I just received my refractometer and it says it needs to be calibrated with distilled water. I dont have any on hand, is there anything else i can use to calibrate with(Tap water?) or do i have to wait until i pick some up?

Not sure...I went to the store and bought some distilled for this. Since it specifically states to use distilled, I would think tap would not suffice.

when i test distilled water and tap water they both are at 0ppt.
but it could be different at your water source. i think you can use rodi water and be fine
