refuge plants

the goal of my fuge is pod population and remove nitrates as well as housing overly aggressive inverts/hitchhikers.
aside of the infamous chaeto, what other plants should i use for removing nitrates? plants that actually need to be put into the substrate is fine with me, they dont all need to float

why do you think cheato is infamous ?
Do some research on caulerpa you could also put some xenia coral in your refug

lol whoops, that was a typo, just meant famous chaeto, and i also heard of caulerpa, planned on that too, and i dont have the lights for corals

any power compact light will do for most macroalgae along with decent flow.

ya, but it wouldnt work for the xenia would it? i wasnt planning on doing coral, just plants/algae for nitrate removal
