refugium lighting

When I upgrade my 180 to a 240 gallon later this year I plan on using either my 60 gallon tank or my 40 gallon tank as a sump/refugium with a DSB, macro algea, and lr. What kind of lighting do I need? I have one 20 watt Marine-Glo, one 20watt Power-Glo right know but I don't think thats enough.

Actually that would be about perfect.Maybe add one more 20 watter,but two would work..Just keep them all on 24/7...

I agree with Mr. Salty. I have a sump very much as you describe and for the past year I have used only a 15w plant/aquarium flo (incandescent pictured on web site) to grow my Caulerpa.
I would use the 60g for the sump. The more water the merrier.
