Well, after weeks of planning, lots of scavenging parts, driving 4 hours to get bulkhead fittings, and spending a whole day driving store to store looking for a cabinet to house it, my refugium will have water in it today. *Crowd cheers in the background*
I'm still trying to figure out what pump to use for a return from the sump. It's about a 2 foot vertical and a four foot horizontal from the sump to the fuge. No ells in the line, just flexible 1/2 inch tubing to a bulkhead in the top of the acrylic tank(and gravity return through a 1 inch bulkhead & 1 inch tubing).
Will a maxi jet pump enough to run this thing? I'm looking for about 2-3 times turnover on a 20 gal. I have a week or two to figure this one out. It's being filled today with cured rock, 5 inch DSB from my 65 that was broken down recently(full of bristleworms, spaghetti worms, pods), and five different types of macro. Then I'm going to run it isolated from the main tank for a week or two to make sure everythings cool, before I fire up the pump.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
B
P.S. I'll post pics later.
