refugium q's

I want to set up a refugium for my 55. How would I get the water from the refugium to my sump?? Do you use an over flow box? Please any sugg. would be apprciated.

most guys use acrilic or tupperware you can drill it and make a overflow

I would suggest using a rubbermaid container for your refugium. That way you can just cut a hole in it and run a PVC pipe to your sump. That's what I use and it works fine for me. Good luck.

You can use a rubbermaid tub if you are placing the refugium above the tank. If you are planning on placing it below the tank you will need an overflow box.

i used a cheap 10 gallon tank. just put a powerhead in my sump and ran some flex tubing to the refugium. drilled a hole in the 10 gal tank and put a bulkhead in it. then pvc'd it to the sump. hey what can i say. . . i'm a slacker.
