refugium question bout my 29g!!

i have a 29g and dont have the room 2 put a traditional refugium. i heard of people buying an aqua clear filter, take all the filter stuff out and replacing it with cheato. is it worth it? will it have an affect on my tank at all? does anyone know anything bout hang on the side refugium??

+1 i am planning on using an emperor filter by marineland as my hang on theback filtration on my 20 gallon.
i will use one side as mini fuge with live rock rubble chaeto and clip on light for chaeto growth and the other side will house bag of chemi pure elite with filter floss for more filtration...
if you are going to rely on HOB filter as your only filtration method then definately pack something big like the emperor's they push out more gph.
should be good to go.. they say turn over the volume of your tank 10 times an hour.. but more is always better exspecially if only using HOB.
