refugium setup for pods growth

I have a regular 55 gal tank... and i just set up a refugium ... i wanted to know how/where pods grow from .. i added 5 lbs of live sand and my tank has been setup for 2 month now.
i just want pods...

Have you 'seeded' the refugium?
If not, I think there are sites that sell seed kits. Also, if your main tank is showing a lot of pod life, you could seed it from that. Another way is to get some sand from a well established tank to seed it.
