Refugium?

I am considering adding an 18" refugium to my 125 will this be enough for my 125? what do I put in it? I have real nitrate problems and want to control it. I am still considering a fowlr instead of a reef tank.

look in the equipment forum. there are plenty of posts about refurguims there, and how to build one. as far as 18 inches being enough, im not sure i understand your question really. the rule of thumb is the larger the refurguim is, the more effective it will be. hth and good luck with it.
