Refugiums

I have lots of debris that accumulates in my refugium. Its the remains of algae that grows, then dies off, and it makes like a mud down in the bottom of the refugium. I doubt this stuff can be good for nitrate levels etc. Should i put anything in there to keep things tidy?

I get the same stuff too. I just suck it out very couple months.

Thats what i've been doing I just wondered if anyone else had some kinda clean up crew that lived in their refugium

I am setting up a new tank, but I used to have a clean up crew in my old sump. I figure it can't hurt.
