regal angel and threadfin butterfly

these to fish are the most beautiful in my opinion any info on either would be great.

aahh sry should have included that, a 90 gallon with about 90 pounds of lr, 20 or so pounds of ls, and the tank has been running for about 3 and a half yrs.

hmmmm, the regal wont due as the tank is to small for it, sry to kill ur ideals but its facts, otherwise the butterfly will be ok

sounds fine did not real think i could get a regal angel, to hard, though i have kept some hard stuff before :thinking:

Actually, the angel would be better suited to a 90 than the butterfly, which is one of the larger species. The regal is not a "large" large angel and keeping one as the alpha fish in a 90 is not a problem, privding the tank is mature and lightly stocked. They are, however, a bad risk.

Unless the tank is a very large system, it's not advisable to keep more than one. Some bf's do well in pairs/groups in closed systems. Racoons are not one of them.

IMO, the threadfin will be ok in a 90 if you get a young one and there's nothing in there to chase him.

well actually tangs dont need 6 feet of swimming room, my is doing great and along with my yellow tang, but he must go back to the lfs.

ay people though have said other things on here i find to be not so true, the most knowledgeable man in sw i know, the owner of the largest coral store in the south east, says they do fine
