Anybody have any experience with them? They are gorgeous. I'm not buying one now. But looking for a possible list with my blueface in the next 6 months as I upgrade my tank.

One of the more difficult angels, generally tough to get eating. It is a fish I would pick out in person make sure it is alert and aware of it surroundings. There is a chance the blueface could take exception to his addition

Regal Angels used to be considered impossible to keep, same level as Moorish Idols and Blue ribbon eels. There have been some improvements in the hobby, but as far as angels go, I don't think there's a harder one to try and kept. The main problem with them, is they simply don't eat. It takes quite the involved 'weaning' process. The one I kept lived 2 months on nothing but live adult brine before finally taking to mysis, and eventually marine cuisine, angel formula.
The problem I see with your Blueface, is in a smaller tank, under 180gal, if you are planning to mix large angels, the really only way it will work is with vastly different sized angels. Small Regals aren't exactly easy to come by.

These are beautiful; but one of the very few fish I would never try again. I lost 2 several years ago and haven't heard anything that would let me think it would work now. Sometimes, you just have to do a lot of research, do your best, and hope.........or forget about it. I have read that Regals from the Red Sea, Coral Sea, Tahiti, and a few other places do much better than those from the Indo-Pacific. But I believe this true with most fish.
