I'm putting up a larger tank and have a new light fixture that takes 3 250 W HQI bulbs. Please give me all your expert opinoins on type/make of bulbs I should put in and the best/cheapest place to buy them from.

There are a ton of opinions on what's the best bulb. I think the ideal situation is to have 10K with VHO actinics. If you can do that go with Aqualine Bushke or XM 10K. I only have two 39w T5's actinics, so I ended up going with the Phoenix 14K bulb. This bulb has better PAR than an Ushio 10K, but gives off a nice white light with a hint of blue. You can find them at various sites ranging from $65-$69 dollars. I am very pleased with the color and output.
