region specific systems

Anyone ever build a system w/ all corals and fish from the same region? I was thinking of doing a tank just of the Indo-Pacific region, just wondering if that's common.

i don't think alot of people really take into consideration where their fish came from, but it's a great idea.

This is one of the better topics I have seen on here for a while. To answer your question, no I don't have a region specific tank... but have read about them. It seems the best way to do a tank, then you could exactly ( or as close to as possible ) simulate the conditions of the home waters instead of having to just shoot for the averages of all the reef environments. The only time I have heard of folks talking about this is when they want to match up a clown with an anemone. I would be interested to see if we have any members that are doing region specific tanks.
