Reish/Brown algae?

Thank you in advance for anyones help and feedback.
The algae in my tank is a redish/brown color and I was wondering why and what I can do to help it!

1-yellow tang
1-royal gramma
1-rock beauty
1-spotted puffer
1-koran angel.
live rock and sand.
no UV or protein skimmer.

Get a vial of Chemi-Clean (a fine white powder).
It will cost you about $14.
You will find after 1-2 applns to your tank your red algae problem will have been cured ( or at the very least greatly reduced). (Leave skimmer on/take charcoal out during 2-3 day tx time)
You may occ have to re-treat if problem re-occurs due to bad lighting conditions ( a usual cause for red algae outbreaks).

I have tried the chemi-clean. worked the first application, then i did as it said and did a water change, after getting all of the chunks of dead algae out of the water, a week later it was gone again. Followed the same procedure until last week when i ran out of the stuff.
Try this, i put up a thread a few days ago and got a great response. I have taken each rock out seperatly and sprayed them off with my power head. Cleaned the sides of my tank, filter, heater, powerhead, and then the substrate. Then do a nice water change around 30 percent. Put everything back in, get equipment back running, and keep lights off for 3 days.
You should have the problem under control at this point as long as you restrict your lighting. For the next few weeks, i am only turning on my lights for a total of 4 hours a day. and working my way up to only 8 hours total a day.
Also, feeding was a major part in my out break. I had a 7 inch niger trigger that loved to eat, and had lots of friends who like to watch me feed him. HE GOT FED way too much. I have cut back to every other day sometimes skiping 2 days. Most of my fish will resort in eating my green algaes and hunting for uneaten food.
This method, which has been given to me has helped so far!!
