Remora c

I bought a remora c skimmer and its been running for a little over 2 weeks and it has not started skimming. It just makes a lot of noise and puts bubbles in my tank. I have 55 fo tank with 5 fish. Does it just start skimming or do i need to do something special to get it to work?

how high up is your collection cup? and what pump are you using? Mine started skimming in a little over a week.

my cup is in tht middle and i have the maxi jet 1200

Push the cup all the way down. Adjust up from there over time so that you get thicker and less liquidy skimmate over time.

Mine took about a week to start skimming with the cup all the way down.

i moved the cup all the way down last night and still nothing, there was a little brown slime in the tube of the cup, that was there before i moved it down.

Id give it a little more time. Mine started skimming pretty fast but my tank was really dirty with a HIGH bioload. You might just not have much to skim yet.
