Still trying to figure out a replacement skimmer for my 75 gallon tank.
I have heard good things about the Precision Marine HOT-1 Skimmer, and the Remora Pro.
Which would you pick and why?
I need it to be Hang-On, and the Berlins are too big to fit behind the tank.
HOT-1 runs about $170, and $80 for an overflow waste collector. I don't think that it has any prefilter or bubble eliminator option. It comes with a RIO 800RVT pump.
Remora Pro runs about $195 with the RIO1400, or $227 with a MAG 3 pump. If the collection cup gets full, it overflows back into the skimmer to prevent spillage. A prefilter/bubble eliminator runs $45.
Please help as my Prism has never worked right, and it is moving to a different tank where I will be able to play around with the adjustments better.
