Remora Pro VS Berlin Skimmer.

If you had a 135g FOWLR & was planning to purchase a protein skimmer, & your choice was between the Remora Pro & Berlin Hang on skimmer, which would you choose? Thanks a bundle! T.T.

Don't know about the remora, but our berlin classic works great (it's on a 75 gal.) . It did take a couple of weeks to "break in", but it pulls some NASTY stuff out now.

I have a Remora on my tank now and it works great. Never have used the Berlin.

Hi jimmi, your berlin is it in a sump? we are getting a new tank this weekend and will be getting a skimmer after the cycle, and how big is your tank? Our new tank will be at least 150 or larger. and was wondering if the berlin will work for larger tanks. I know some skimmers are only good for smaller tanks. thanks

Hi, my Berlin is on a 110 but is rated to 250 I think. It is next to my sump. I drilled my sump put in a bulkhead so I could run a direct from the pump in the sump to the skimmer outside the sump.

Groovy, I am taking in all I can with sumps as our reef tank with all of our DSB and LR takes care of the bio, were the new tank will need help like a sump.thanks

I read somewhere that hang ons would not do well for larger tanks. Is there any truth to this? The Berlin Hang on is recommended for tanks up to 250g. Can anyone enlighten me on the subject. I still not entirely sure as to where I should put my hard-earned dollars. Thanks, T.T.
