Remora Question

This may be a foolish question, but I have to ask.
If I wanted to use an Aqua C Remora Pro HOB skimmer, can it also be hung on back of a sump rather than the DT? Will performance be affected?
Thank you.

Aww...I thought it was a question about an actual remora lol.
Yeah, my hob is in my sump. It's perfectly fine. I would put it in the place where the water is going in (intake) rather than at the end. However, it doesn't matter a WHOLE lot. Good luck and good question.

Thanks for the reply...I was thinking of going this route as some skimmers have too large a footprint and I do want to incorporate a fuge in the sump.
Also, any thoughts on the Remora (not a live one)?
Most of the negative reviews about it were related to noise.

its prefectly fine to use it in the sump. u might hv noise issue though since water will be cascading down from the skimmer.

I've never had one, hopefully someone can chime in with their 2 cents. I can however add to your research and say that I've heard that they are decent. Remember that any skimmer is better than no skimmer.

yea,as for the noise issue, i have a cpr bak pak now and have gotten used to the bubble no. The new tank setup will have all equipment in the sump in a cabinet.
