removal help asap

Hello all, I am going to be removing a mushroom from a rock. I need to know the best way to do this??
I don't plan on keeping it or attaching it to anything else.

why not? they are hard to totally get rid of by cutting them off if you dont get everything, the reminates will regrow. You could chip off a small piece of rock under it, or attempt pull it with a dull knife, or try to cut it away. If you get it off you can send it to me.

what is your plan? to kill it? if so, i'd just scratch it off with my algae scraper and then put some kalk paste over any leftover flesh still attached.
if you are removing it to give/trade/sell it, i'd use clippers and cut some of the rock off with the mushroom. you'll see that the live rock will just crumble off with the shroom, and the next guy will be able to glue it to something easily.

i believe i have heard of using an ice cube to remove them?

The idea was to remove it so I could put my million dollar ricordia on this rock instead. I would not kill it, the neighbour would gladly take it but I might be better off getting a new piece of rock and attaching it to the new rock.
