Remove Biowheels???

Should I remove my biowheels? I have 3, two on my emperor 400 and one on my 280. I have 4"dsb, around 70 lbs live rock, skimmer and 4 powerheads. Two small triggers, eel, and lawnmower. My nitrates have been pretty high. Should I remove the biowheels and just use the emperors to move water and filter with carbon? Thanks.

I would remove one at a time and moniter the levels. Give it about 2-3 weeks before removing another. Remember to check levels often. You are going to shift the bio load and this can be devistating if not watched.
