Removing Chlorine by Natural Method

I was wondering if letting the water prepared beforehand a water change (like two days) in a container will remove chlorine naturally (thereby skipping the use of dechlorinator)...?

Just let the container of water sit without a cover for a few days and the chlorine part will be taken care of.

What were the chlorine levels before and after letting the container of water sit without a cover for a few days ? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />
Did you use a DPD test ?
How about the chloramines ?
