Removing Seaview gel

The people I bought my tank from used, I am assuming, Seaview gel on the background they had on it. The background fell off in the move from their house to mine and now there's the residue from the gel on the back of my tank. I've tried soap and water, alcohol, fingernail polish, and vinegar to try to remove it. The Seaview website says it's easy to remove, but they don't say how.
Anyone tried to remove this stuff before?

try goo gone. just don't get any inside the tank and don't let it sit on the silicone seals a the corners (if some happens to drip around the edge)

did you try just scaping it with a straigh edge razor??

Agree I would try spraying down with plain old water and razor blade.
