Replace Lighting

Can I just change the bulbs that are alrdy in my stock fixtures that came with my 55 gallon tank. It came with 2 24" inch hoods with 15w bulbs and I want better bulbs but just wondering if I can just buy the bulbs or if I have to buy a whole new fixture.. I want about atleast 100w is that possible??

You would have to get glass tops to replace the plastic ones.
You can get pc power compact flourescents.
Depending on what do you want to put in there.
Is it a Fish only tank. Do you want corals? Anemones?
Most 48in pc lights run 130w ,220w ,and 260w
