Replace my old 50/50 bulbs?

I have been running the same 50/50 bulbs in my tank for the past 2 years now. They have not "failed" (i.e. burned out our quit working) but I am wondering if they reduce their effectiveness over time? I run them about 10 hours per day. I am using the Coralife 50/50 Compact bulbs at 55W ea. and need two of them. This is on a 34 gallon bowfront all glass setup reef/fish combo. I only have about 4 pieces of soft coral and a couple of fish. If I need to replace the bulbs, should I be considering a different lighting configuration considering it will be about $60 for the bulbs?

Yes you should replace your bulbs. Usually the bulbs last about 1 yr. If your going to leave your tank the way it is then I would leave the set up the way you have it. If you plan on upgrading to corals that require more lighting then you could always add more pc's.
