I think I am going to buy some replacement bulbs/lamps for my jbj 12 gal nano in case they lose their light soon. any suggestions on what type to buy or any upgrades? Right now I only have the standard lighting for the DELUX. thanks! i really need to know soon.

the stock bulbs aren't all that bad. They are supposed to have a useful life of about 12 months. A competitive website sells the bulbs, as does nanocustoms.

any 4 pin japanese style 24 watt pc bulb should work. The ones in the JBJ are 50/50, you could get a 10k and an actinic, or whatever suits you.

HAHA…too funny. I just broke my light 2 days ago and I was freaking out because everywhere I called said they did not have replacement bulbs for JBJ Nano’s. I ended up going to Big Al’s and got one there. Coralife 50/50Compact Fluorescent 24 watt, 13 inch, Straight pin arrangement. My old light was strictly daylight and this one is 50% super daylight 10,000k and 50% actinic 03 blue. I love this light so much better. What a difference in the colours in the tank! And it was only $27.
