Replacing Bulbs

This may sound like a stupid question, but how often are you supposed to change the light bulbs? I have a Nova Extreme T-5 Fixtures w/Lunar Lights. I've had it for about a year. Thought I'd ask... Thanks

IMO, I change mine every year or as needed. Just in case you dont know, Make sure you get bulbs that are 45 3/4" in length. Slimpaq(Current) are the only bulbs that I've seen fit.

they say T5 bulbs last 18 months - 2 years. i`ve only had mine about 8 months so i haven`t had to replace them yet ...

I was told the same. But my actinics didnt last but 14 months.

i hv t-5 too. i'd chng it every 12-15 months. hate to see the corals deteriorate b4 noticing it is time to chng the bulbs. bulbs lose intensity over time anyway. cant lose changing it every 12-15 months.
