What are the requirements to hold horses or pipefish? What I have is a spare tank 40 gal. breeder looped into my system of about 200gal total volume. In this tank there is 1 serpent star,2/3 snails a couple crabs and about 100 brittle stars. Huge amount of copepods with around 60lbs of lr. what is needed as far as lighting and circulation. Right now I'm moving abt 200gal an hour through this tank with empties into my fuge.

there is nothing special for lighting needed for seahorses....the height of the tank is usually the more important as they recommend 3x the height of the seahorse itself...you want a decent low flow in there...nothing like a reef or anything like that as theyll get blown away, but you can do a nice flow as long as you have a place for them to retreat to with less flow if they get tired.
