Last night about 8PM a woman in my area that I had bought some live rock from called me and said that she had an emergency and could I take some of her fish. When I got there, there was one other person taking some fish. her tank had somehow been broken about 1/4 of the way down and was leaking - bad. (She has 2 rowdy little boys, so I didn't even ask what happened). Anyway, the person that got there first took the the good stuff and I ended up taking a yellow tang and 2 green chromis. I don't plan on keeping any of them (tank is too small for tang, don't really care for the chromis), but I don't want to stress them out again by giving them up right away.
My question is this - everyone seems to be getting along with my blenny and wrasse, but I'm looking into buying lights and getting corals. If I get the lights this weekend, will it hurt the tang? My tank is only 24" deep and although there's plenty of hiding places, the tang seems to prefer being out in the open.He found him a cave around midnight last night, but this morning when I turned on the living room lights he came out and started crusing around. Will he get "sunburned"?
