restarting 55 gal

tank watch

I currently have a 180 reef, well stocked with tangs, corals, and others. I want to restart my 55 gallon tank, but cant decide what to put in it. It will be fish, sand and rock, no corals. I also have a 6 inch peacock mantis that I would like to put in it.
What types of fish would be safe with this shcrimp? remember 55 gal
thanks, Matt

no fish should go in with a mantis... they're devil-shrimp! haha, but seriously, they'll eat your other fish. Mantis are best kept in a small separate tank by itself.

I was hoping for a different answer. I guess he will stay in the eclipse system for now.
So how about some fish suggestions for a 55. I like triggers, lions and such, but I know they will outgrow this tank rapidly. Hmm....

you could do something like a dwarf lion, snowflake eel,and a valentini puffer that would be cool and you could maybe do something else in there but i dont know

yes, i think lions and triggers are too big for the tank, but i agree with surf, a dwarf lion, and some smaller puffers would be good, if you're looking for an aggressive tank.
