i have a 55 high tank and i am starting it back up . i Have a sump with bio balls, a good protein skimmer and a pump. i have all my water in my tank now and my salt level is .021. i had about 20 pounds of live rock from my last tank that i put back into and that is it. What else should i get or do to help my tanks cycles. I want to have a tank with pufferfish, grouper, and a clown fish. What do i need to make my tank best suitable for those fish? I have had tanks in the past and i never cycled them or kept track of amonia or anything so all my fish would die. So please if you have any insight on what could help me please tell me.

Take your time and do the opposite of what you did before. Let the tank cycle before you add any fish. Read as many post here as you can. Somewhere in time they will pertain to you. Dont just listen to the people at the store. Remember they wont make any money if everything they sell you lives and thrives in your tank. Be open to second or third opinions.:D
