Return flow too fast, fish hide

I just set up my new 90gal w/sump (upgraded from a 55 and no sump) and my fish are hiding because they don't like the heavy return flow. They are all staying on one side that don't have alot of flow and when I unplug my return pump they all come out and swim around. I have a 9.5 mag pump. Is there any way to slow down the return flow so that my fish are happier?

If I were you I would check to make sure you have no stray voltages coming off of the return. If there isn't your can run a ball valve between the sump and DT to slow the flow down some

I can't imagine that there is any stray voltage, all the equipment is brand new. I will tell my husband about the ball valve. Thanks!
I should also add that it is a 90gal AGA megaflow aquarium with a 20gal sump. The tubing I have for the return is 3ft long.

Give them a couple days, they'll adjust to it. Most SW fish we collect live in very high flow areas. They've adjusted to the lack of current already. They'll readjust.

There are several people on here that have high turnover on there tanks me being one of them and I have never noticed my fish not liking the flow. I have about 2000gph on my 55g tank which is far more than a mag 9.5 can put out as a return pump. I agree with doc if they are not accustomed to the flow it may take a few days to get used to it, it may have more to do with the new tank than the added flow or combination that is causing them to hide.
