im plumbing my sump and although i finished the intake..im having trouble doing the return pipe. the pump is am using takes 3/4" vinyl tubing...and also has adaptors for what i imagine are 1/2" tubing as well. my overflow is rated 800GPH and is hard plumbed with 1" PVC that goes straight to my sump...its a simple design. my problem with the return is that i dont know what size PVC/Tubing to use and how to go about doing it...i need help getting it plumbed from the point to where it is attached to my pump to the point where the return nozzle pushes the water back into my tank.
any help, ideas on the return nozzle thingy, or how to plumb the entire return would be really appreciated. thanks.

i used a threaded female coupling to screw into my return pump. the opposite side was a female smooth. then i used an adaptor to increase that to 1" and ran that all the way up to my outlets.
just take the pump to home depot and tell them you want to go from that to a 1" line. You might have to go through a few couplings to get the end result you want. but its doable.

i think i have an idea of what to do now...is the return and intake pipe pvc supposed to be the same size or is the return supposed to be smaller/bigger? im using 1" PVC as the intake...so 1" as the return? or like 1/2"?
