Return pump not strong enough?

I have a quiet one 4000 and it works fine but I get bubbles in my u-tubes in my overflow.
My assumption is that the pump is not staying up with the overflow.
Is this correct?
I have e-shoppes overflow (two actually) on my 110g. I have no clue what they are rated at (gph) any one have an idea?

Yes that is correct, your flows are not matched closely enough.
Not sure what an e-shoppes overflow is, but if it is a U-tube design, just buy a smaller diameter U-tube. I assume you are using 1.25 inch, so try to find 1 inch and you should be good.
