Revamp of the Finnex 30

After scratching the front glass very badly on my new Finnex 30gl M tank and ordering a new front piece from the manufacturer I got the bright idea while replacing the glass to remove the back chamber and make/install a center overflow. This I placed a small ph into and it feeds up to a hang-on back (rather sits behind) double 1" bulkhead return drilled 15 high containing LR and cheato.
I am always tring to improve everything and though I have swore time and time again that I have learned my lesson, I haven't. sigh!
Well, I think it is doing a great job and I saved the back chamber in one piece so I can put it back together if I decide later on, which I probably will.

So what do you think? maybe I should just have left well enough alone? The stock tank seemed to be working fine, but now it is a full 30gls with a 15gl fuge.

Now, you *know* that I don't know anything about fuge's or anything that's separate from the "all-in-one's" to be able to offer you any kind of feedback, but it looks like the system you are running is absolutely brilliant!

I can't get over your FTS!! The ric shrine! OMG!! THAT is the most awesome thing I have ever seen! You need to insure that tank!

Uh, yea, suuurrre Kim, suuuurrre. Kidding.
I do need to get some insurance, especially with hurricane season around the corner. I have a generator but I am looking into a battery backup that will run the overflow for at least 24hrs. Maybe an inverter. Don't really know about such things though.
Believe it or not I still have about 30-40 rics to attatch from frag tank into this one. I am about sick of attatching rics I tell you.

Some day you will have to tell me your Ric secret!! i just got my first one a few days ago and put it in my 40gal frag and I love it! Your tank is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

I mean really at the risk of sounding redundant.... HOLY CRAP. It don't even look real its so perfect. And you got some big cookies my friend, i would never of had the guts to do that to a finnex tank!! but it came out really nice. Thanks for sharing all your info with us, we are lucky to have you here!!
