I bought a used unit and need to know which tube or tubes supply the purified water.
<img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> This is a Maxxima brand unit.

It depends on what type you have. On mine the one coming out of the membrane housing is the "dirty water" and the one coming out of the Deion canister is the clean water.

This is a Maxxima unit. There are 3 vertical stage filters with a horizontal canister on top. One tube comes from the long horizontal canister and another tube comes out of the 3rd vertical filter.

One way to know is to notice which one has the lowest output. The one with the lowest output will be your purified water.

I've got the Kent Maxxima HiS60 RO/DI
Assuming the canisters are still attached and hanging from the frame, and assuming no one has changed original tubing colors.
Here's all you need to do.
Long water source ( Yellow ) tubing to the front of the 1st stage 1 micron sediment filter canister.
Run the short yellow tubing out the back of the 1st stage filter to the back of the 2nd stage carbon filter.
From the front of the 2nd stage carbon filter run yellow tubing to the far right end of the horizonatal RO membrane housing.
From the back bottom left port of the horizontal RO membrane housing, run the long orange tubing to drain/waste.
From the back top left port of the horizontal RO membrane housing run yellow tubing to the back port of the 4th stage DI canister ( CFI )or( SilicamaxHI-S ).
From the front of the 4th stage DI canister run blue tubing for treated water out.
OR IF THIS IS TOO HARD TO FOLLOW:
Click on this link and it will take you to Kent's website download page, and let you download the Kent Maxxima instruction sheet as as pdf file to view or print it. You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader if you don't have it. It's available for free at this link as well.
