Ribbon Eel

Hey
I want to buy the black ribbon eel from this online store. Does anyone have an idea if all the shipments made are eating? If so, I have 125 gallon aquarium and wanted to keep the eel as a single specimen. Any suggestions? (i bought a custom made acrylic top so that the eel doesn't jump out.)

I have always heard the same thing about ribbon eels...very hard to get to eat, so I have never tried one. There is a LFS that has gotten a few blue ribbons in and won't sell them unless they eat first. Alot of times they don't. I have never even seen a black ribbon irl. They look amazing...so if you do get one, and it does live please share your info
.

Interesting. In all of my reading I have never come across that. Not that I have done a ton of research on eels, but I did not know that about the ribbons. Today I am smarter
