"Ribbon" hammer?

When my dad went to the LFS today, I asked him to check out the green hammers to see if they got any in. He said they got on in that grew in a long skinny path - almost like that ribbon candy you get at xmas. I showed him a picture of a scrolling one, and he said he thought it was much narrower and was told it could easily grow to the width of the tank.
Any information? Would I just be better off getting a branching one?

Probably a scrolling hammer. I bet they can come in different thicknesses.
As for which one to get, depends on you. Which would you like to see in your tank? Care should be the same for both.
