How long should rics be acclimated for?

I've never acclimated a single coral to water and they've all done fine. Acclimation to light is much more of a concern. Just put it in the tank after floating it long enough to balance the temperature.
Acclimating to water is more of an issue for clams, stars, and other inverts like that.
