ricordia mushroom question

I just recently acquired a green ric mushroom. My question is do they like to be placed on the sandbed or on some rock??

my understanding of rics (and i am limited in my knowledge of rics) is that they do prefer to be attached to a rock, much like a shroom. hth and good luck with the new ric.
