Ricordia Question

I think my Recordia is either splitting or something's wrong with it... It looks to me as though it may be turning into two but it's hard to describe what it is doing and my camera is no good so I can't get a clear picture.
There seems to be a fold in it and it looks like a second one is forming and possibly gradually detaching from the original. It has been several weeks since I first noticed it though. Should it take that long? Could it be that there's something wrong with it?
Thanks for any help!!!

mine has been doing this also, it just keeps getting bigger. it has two mouths, but is still whole in thoughout, just folded I have another one half the size with atleast 2 mouths. if you wanted you could frag it in two, just leave a mouth on each half, I did that to my original one.

My orange one is currently splitting. If you feed them and have adequate conditions they will split more rapidly. First you should see 2 mouths, and later in the proccess you should see a fold in it, almost forming an "8" shape. It is also easy to tell if it is splitting by color. My orange one has a green center with orange ring, now it has two green spot and it is that "8" shape. They key to identifying splitting though is a second mouth.

yep, you described it to the letter. It happens to also be an orange ric and It has the green mouth that it's always had and a smaller green mouth forming that wasn't there when I bought it.
I'm so excited!!
I'm not sure how to frag... is it easy or should I just let nature do it for me.

Fragging is pretty easy you just carefully cut between the mouths and then all you have to worry about is either placing them somewhere to snag on themselves or you can place them in a container with some sand then glue them to a rock and viola you are set.

They will stay where they are and continue to multiply. I accidentally fragged one of mine. It was attached to a small fragging stone and secured itself to a larger piece of my LR. Then a hermit stumbled on it and pushed it out of its place. It hung by the small attached part while the rest of it swung around. When I found it i tried to untwist it and put it back but it tore apart. So, now I have 2 and they seem to be doing well, so far.

Mushrooms and ricordias are super hard to kill, other than with water params. I was reading a thread where a guy literally put his mushrooms into a blender chopped em up and then put them into a frag tank. He ended up with like 3 times the amount of shrooms of one kind and a few of the other. Crazyness if you ask me!
