Ricordia Question

I have a 29 Gallon Biocube with stock lighting and I bought a Purple with Green tipped Ricordia about a month or so ago and at first it seemed great. It was huge when it opened up but recently i noticed that the foot is actually sticking out of the other side of the rock it is on. I moved the rock so the foot could attach itself but i noticed at night it lets go of the rock and just hangs there. It also doesnt seem to fully open like it used to. Anybody know what might be going on? It was near a Torch coral but the coral seemed a little close so i moved the Ricordia over to the other side of the tank but at the same height it was before. Still has the normal colors and doesnt seem to be dying but it just doesnt open like it use to and i thought it might be related to the foot. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you know what kind of ric it is?? Yuma or Florida??
If you have a pic of it we could id it for you.
From experience I have found that the Yuma Rics need stronger lights than the Floridas do. The Yuma's will expand more too with better lights.
I don't have really strong lights 18 watts pc 50/50 over a 5 gal and my Yumas are not open as good as the Floridas are. But I much prefer the Floridas over the Yumas, just a personal preference though.
It might have been affected by the other coral too but it sounds like its on the move to a place it likes better. I would just leave it and see what it does in the next week.

Thanks for the help. I will post a pic tonight because i am really curious what it actually is because it was sold to me as nothing more than a Ricordia and i personally have never seen one like it. All i know is that it is Purple with Green tips and was a really good size and was cheaper than expected.

Sorry for the delay...
It seems to be opening a little more every day but now its looks like its stretching to the light. I moved him a little higher so we will see what happens. Any ID on it?

Looks like a Yuma Ricordea, there is a baby beside it and if I am right, Yumas drop babies and Florida's split.
Looks good, one thing I have noticed with Yuma's is they need stronger lighting than the Florida's.

doesnt look like a ric at all, looks like a hairy mushroom. ill post some pics of my hairy mushrooms and my baby rick, i dont see the ric in it at all. thats a hairy mushroom now that i look at it more. your salinity at 1.023 seems just a tad low might want to bump up to 1.025 for coral mine stays at around 1.025-1.026 temp if fine. down low i posted a pic of a hairy mushroom see how it looks the same. green tips and light pink body
