my lfs gave me a ricordia not on a rock or anything...any suggestions on how to secure it to my rock so that it can attach, i keep trying to just let it sit but my halloween crab keeps knocking it off

take a small piece of live rock and place the mushroom on it. Take some mesh ( bridal mesh) and wrap it around the rock and the ricodea, so that it will stay put on the rock and still get flow. After about a week it will have attached to the rock.
another way is placing it on your sand bed for about 5 days... this allows it to attach to the sand. The sandy bottom will become the base for you to super glue it to a piece of live rock... make sure you use a gel super glue.

hey de, i have this big white puffy cloud looking thing coming out of the middle of my ricordia. is this normal?

Is it kind of stringy looking? Maybe your tying it down too hard?

its actually not tied down right now, its still just sitting there cuz i could see it beginning to attach to the rock...ill try getting a pic and posting it
