Rio 2100 vs Mag 3 or 5

Currently i have a Rio 2100 as my return pump in my wet/dry. its got about two feet of head to get back into the tank (55gal). I am converting to a sump/refugium and am getting rid of the Rio. I want to switch to a Mag Drive 3 or 5, but i dont know which is better suited for my tank size and head. I was told the Mag 5 might be too powerful but the rating curve seems to show it weaker than a Rio 2100 at two feet of head. I am just assuming the Mag Drive is much more efficient and of course better quality. so what do you think, Mag 3 or Mag 5?
thanks
Jason

I've got the mag 5 for my 55, seems to work fine. It took a little tweaking to get it right. If your worried about it pumping too much install a ball valve in the middle of the return line.

Von_Rahvin,
Are you running the Mag 7 on your 55gal?? Some of my calcs tell me the Mag 5 wont be as strong as the Rio 2100 i have now, then by talking with people they think the Mag may be too much.
