Rio pump question

Any pump that will fit into the space will work in the tank. The Rio pumps have gotten some pretty bad reviews.

I put a maxi jet 1200 in mine.. It has 19 less amps than the stock pump
and only about 10 more gph. To some it up..
It runs cooler and it made a big difference in flow!!

Ditto, I have the bioCube 29 and I put the RIO 1100 in mine. I had to remove the cover over the impeller and get a larger Dia hose but it fit perfectly. And you cant even tell mine is running. In fact the cooling fans on the lights are louder and they are quiet themselves. Puts out almost an extra 100GPH than the stock pump too.
