RIO PUMPS SUCK!!!!!!!!

last night my Rio 2100 melted in the tank and caused a huge mess. I've heard from LFS that Rio
pumps suck but because the low cost and high water flow I bought one anyways and now I wish I didn't just a warning to those useing these pumps

How do tehy melt? Whats a good powerhead to use instead of a rio? What size? I have a rio 2500 and want to get rid of it for something better.

I'm gonna take a lot of heat for this, but I honestly think that the Hagen 802 powerheads are the best.

I think all Hagen products are GREAT..
I also have 1 Hagen, and 2 penguins..never had a problem with either//

I have never used a RIO but I have heard of some stories. That has pretty much scared me away from them. I use Penguins and have been using 2 of them for the last 3 years. Not bad. They have never once failed me. I have had a couple powersweeps, they are ok and I just recently bought a Hagen 802 and so far I like how it operates.
