unfortunately neglect. I believe he went a while without topping off or any water changes.... and.. well, you know

Agreed. Sad thing is, he knew the tank was in bad shape.. just didn't care to do anything about it.

Man thats sad when you see guys spend money on nice tanks and then watch them just go to pieces... . Tsk, Tsk, tsk. That was a nice looking eel too. Is he looking after the tank after the death of the eel? If I were you I'd get after him to look after his fish LoL

The honest truth is no. Seems as he's letting everything die until the tank is empty so he can take it down. It's a shame... I wish I was already set up.
I DID tell him, on a few occasions, he should look to give them away to people who will take care of them... or even back to the pet store but... well, the world is lighter one snowflake eel.
