Ripped Fin

I have been looking for a powder blue tang for quite some time now. The last two that my LFS has gotten in havent been perfect color. I was down there tonight buying salt mix and I noticed that they had just gotten a juvinile one in. However, the top of its tail fin had a small chunk missing towards the top. Is this something that would heal in time or would it remain like this forever?

Recently i had this happen to my sailfin tang.. (got bite by the sleeper goby) and ripped a nice section out and to my suprise it grew back in less than 2 days! Fish can regrow their fins VERY quick in water with VERY good quality.
