Ritteri or Sebae?

I want another nem for my 120. It will be in the lower part of my tank.....on the left side. I have 2 150w halides and good flow. What one? Anyone kept either? Experiences? I am leaning towards the ritteri I think. Thoughts? Thanks.

Honestly, you have two anemones in the tank already, so I would not add another especially considering the age of the tank. Sebaes are easy to keep, however they might do better with stronger lighting in a 120. IME, sebaes are very light demanding anemones. There may be some chemical warfare with adding a new anemone to the tank, which can cause the existing nems to walk which can lead to disaster.

Good point....have you kept either? My nems have never moved when I or the previous owner has kept him ...that's like 3 years of the same spot...I bought them on a rock...no sayin they won't do it again though....I got my skimmer finally though....

It's a nice size. The pic was from when I had halides. I was running 2x250 watt halides with 4x96 watt PC actinics. I have a 55 gallon and it was doing really well under the stronger halides. I have LED's now and it took some acclimation my LED's were not as strong as the halides. It moved a smidge, closer to the light, but it is still doing well.

I like the blue tip variant most. Would you say ritteri or sebae?
From my understanding sebae's are easier to care for than ritteri. Again, I caution you. I would not add another anemone. You have two BTA's in a young tank. I would wait at least a year to see how the BTA's react in your tank. One way they reproduce is splitting. It is possible that your tank will be overrun with them.
