i just bought a unit and it makes like 3/4 to 1 gallon on hr! im trying to make 40 gallons to do a water change. Anyway to make water come out faster?

not really... you can verify that the unit's feed water is at the correct temp & pressure (whatever it's rated for) but that's about all you can do.

You can only make it produce at its rated output. Two factors reduce the actual production - temperature and pressure. If you have at least 50 psi on the line, then your pressure is ok, otherwise you can get a pump to step up the pressure. You lose output rate for every degree below 70, so you can improve your output by running the input water through 20 feet or so of hose coiled in a heated bucket.
